Top Shelf: Bentley – 2011 Continental GT

YESSUH!!

Y'all know we love them GT's. The new 2011 Bentley Continental GT has been unveiled not too long ago, with an updated body and a more power 6.0L W12 unit. However, borrowing from an member of the Volkswagen Group family, Bentley has also let slip that it will be offering a new V8 engine option. Not just any V8 engine will be utilized, but a twin-turbocharged Audi engine capable of 550 horsepower. To increase fluidity and performance, Bentley is planning to pair the engine with Audi’s S Tronic dual-clutch transmission. However, the problem with adaption lies in that the underbody has a hole shaped for a ZF six-speed automatic transmission, the gearbox used for their traditional W12 unit. Engineers are currently studying to see how viable it will be to fit Audi’s S Tronic dual-clutch gearbox in the ride. via: autoblog

YESSUH!!

Mercedes-Benz have created another special edition of the popular Roadster model, titled the SL Night Edition. Dopeness: Yves Behar for Issey Miyake Vue Watch – A Closer Look

YESSIR!!

The Vue by Yves Behar for Issey Miyake watch combines the longtime innovation of the Japanese designer with the industrialism of Behar. Sleek and minimal, the watch features a round frame, solid band with a vanishing dial. To add uniqueness to this collaboration, the watch only features one numeral at a time and fades out as time passes. The duo didn’t stop there, as the watches box is made out of what appears to be sticky notes on top of each other. Available in 5 variations, ranging from a metal or leather band to a white, black or brown colorway. Further information is available here.

Kicks Flow: Adidas Originals – Fall/Winter 2010 – Jogging Hi

Good moola..

Trainers for winter? Luke Skywalker’s sidekick, Chewbacca has already endowed the adidas Originals Jogging Hi with his stamp of approval, and rendered it furry and worthy like himself for theStar Wars x adidas Originals collection. Now, sans Chewbacca and fur, adidas Originals brings forth fresh colorways that are just as easy to love and wear in the winter. Aside from the cycling-inspired grey, mint and pink colorway, there are also two Jogging Hi Leather, one in a neutral earthy mix of browns and black with red laces (hiking boots, anyone?), and the other in a classic white with navy accents, both made with a supple leather upper. Of course, as per introduced in 1982, the Jogging Hi continues to feature an adjustable sole for maximum comfort, and can we just say, cold ankles, begone!

Top Shelf: Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept

We digs..

Oh how we wished we were in Paris right now. Sure, there are the celebrities, fashionistas, leggy models and other objects of beauty to look at the ongoing Paris Fashion Week. But our interest is on what’s happening across town, at the Mondial De L’Automobile, or 2010 Paris Auto Show. All primed and timed, auto shows in general are as rigid as the pressed suit car company execs donned on for these events, except the occasional surprises, like the Sesto Elemento Concept fromLamborghini.
Brush up your Italian and you will note that its name said it all, Sesto Elemento or Sixth Element refered to the carbon fiber used on the car, and this car is flooded with the stuff. Its powerplant, a 5.7-liter V-10 monstrosity pumps out 570hp and 398 lb-ft torque, more than enough to propel this matte black bullet of 2200-lbs for 0 to 62 mph in 2.5 seconds! Now, before all you Shieks out there begin to trade-in your oil fields or dumping your stocks Gordon Gekko style, consider for a moment. One, the Sesto Elemento is a concept car and most likely will not see the light of day except the artificial lighting of car show. Two, the car isn’t driver and/or passenger friendly. It seems like the engineers at Lamborghini forgot the words “curve” or “round” because there are no rounded edges on this car. Everything is in 90-degree angle, sharp, even the paddle shifters. Getting into and out would certainly mean a few trips to the emergency room. So Sesto Elemento Concept from Lamborghini… great to look at, like the model beside it, but don’t touch or there will be a world of hurt! via: Autoblog
