Architecture: South Yarra Residence by Carr Design Group

Good Moola..
Built in 1929 in South Yarra, Australia as two duplexes, of which one was originally inhabited by the famous artist Sunday Reed before she moved to Heide, the building has undergone careful modernizing under the direction of Carr Design Group, fitting it to the needs of a family of five.
Following the restoration of the dwelling internally and externally, creating extra space, the facade was retained in its original shape, whilst an additional bold two-storey glazed structure was added to the rear west face of the property to bring light into the heart of the home.

Kicks Flow: ASICS Gel Saga “Kill Bill”

I just spent the past couple weeks watching Kill Bill on Starz every time it was played because it’s just that dope to me. During the scene when Uma runs up and takes on the Crazy 88’s, I noticed that she was rocking ASICS. Then I heard that Tarantino decided not to continue on with the series. So this week, I got some news about this shoe and that sort of cheered me up.
To commemorate Quentin Tarantino‘s Kill Bill films, ASICS has doused a pair of Gel Sagas in the color of Uma Thurman’s iconic outfit. Featured is a rich yellow suede upper on top of a matching midsole accented with red splatter. Black leather completes the look for a sneaker that is both collectable and eye-catching. You can grab your own pair here. I’d put these on ice and not rock them at all though. These are collector’s.

Architecture: Hill House by Rachcoff Vella Architecture

Serious..

The Hill House located in Mount Martha, Australia, was designed by Rachcoff Vella Architecture. Situated on a narrow site on the rise of a hill overlooking spectacular views, with a north-south orientation and views at both ends, the challenge was to build a home that managed both of these aspects whilst working with a 5.0m fall from front to back.
The result is a sculptural home providing flexible living for its inhabitants which reflects its positioning with beach hut aesthetics, and an emphasis on spaces that embrace the views either side of the building.
Respect.

Skate Life: Almond Surfboards & Designs x Shakastics Custom Planks Skateboard

Righteous..
Newport Beach’s Almond Surfboards & Designs has partnered with Shakastics Custom Planks to craft a co-branded, SoCal skateboard. Made by hand and screen-printed in Costa Mesa and measuring 24″ in length, the vintage-inspired hardwood board is smaller than Almond’s previous “Coffee-Break Commuter” and sees a kick in the tail while narrow trucks allow for increased maneuverability.
The collaborative cruiser is now available online for $170 USD as a complete or $100 USD for the deck alone.

Fly Season: TR4 – The New Louis Vuitton Four-Wheeled Suitcase

Sweats, laptop, headphones and a couple duffle bags that you’ve had collecting dust in the closet. Sound familiar? That’s usually how most of us head to the airport. There’s nothing better than bumming out to go jump on your flight. But the good people over at Louis Vuitton had another idea in mind for travel, and they’ve looked out for us in that department.

They don’t need any introduction when it comes to their coveted luggage ranges. The French fashion house has long been producing bags adorned with their infamous LV logo, and now we have the TR4, a four-wheeled suitcase which is set to be the new star of the Louis Vuitton luggage family. Exhibiting all of the design features that make Louis Vuitton luggage so distinctive; the pale gold and brown colorway, the padlock, and of course the monogram initials, proving Louis Vuitton’s reputation for timeless elegance.
The TR4 is a smooth front case with a fiberglass frame and tough saddle stitch providing durability for the rough treatment your case might get on it’s way to the carousel.
