Gilded great halls, mahogany covered library, and grand fireplaces, all props in helping Gourmet tell the story of an imaginary eccentric, whose wealth and intelligence couldn’t appease his obsession for footwear, particularly those from Gourmet. Top Shelf: DUCATI – DIAVEL “Breathless In 2.6 Seconds”

Derived by Bolognese dialect for the word “Devil”, the new DUCATI DIAVEL is certainly an incarnation of something baneful and beastly. Just like how the DUCATI MONSTER ushered in the naked bike craze to motorcycle’s main stream culture, the company is betting DIAVEL to do the same for the cross-eyer category. Conceived by designer Bart Jassen-Groesbeek, who had a part in the revamped Yamaha V-Max, the original Street Fighter, the DIAVEL boasts a 1,198 cc V-Twin with a more-than-ample output of 162 horsepower.

Enough ponies to outdo most sub-compact of the 4-wheel kind, DUCATI claimed a time of 0 to 60 mph at only 2.6 seconds,just enough for you appreciate a blurring visage of it and a testament to the reason people called DUCATI as “Ferrari on 2 wheels”.

Top Shelf: Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG Coupé Black Series

Mercedes-Benz just announced their state of the art C 63 AMG Coupe, which produces 457 horsepower through its 6.3 liter V8 engine. It must not be enough grunt for some enthusiasts asMercedes-Benz have now released official images of the all new, more powerful Black Series. This version is the fourth generation Black Series and it is equipped with a re-tuned AMG 6.3 liter V8 engine that pumps out 517 PS/380 kW/510 bhp and 0 – 100 km/h is timed at 4.2 seconds (provisional).

Aside from its performance, the exterior is redesigned with a more aggressive aero dynamic kit and the usual AMG suspension and brake packages ensure comfort and safety. Customers will need to wait until January next year to actually drive this beast and the price tag is said to be in the vicinity of 115, 430 euros in Germany.

In time for Christmas 2011, Microsoft introduces the XBOX 360 Kinect Star Wars Edition. The console and controller have been styled after the two iconic R2-D2 and C-3PO robots. The console comes with the Kinect system, Kinect Star Wars game and a 320 GB harddrive. Priced at 450 USD, the console will release on December 31st, 2011 on Amazon.

While we’ve seen Barneys-exclusive Chuck Taylor models in previous years, this particular edition for the venerable department store is especially cool, with the perforated leather upper sure to provide ample ventilation. Available in white, black and red colorways, the shoe is priced at $125 and available now through the Barneys webstore.

Last year, 2K Sports‘ NBA 2K11 not only sold over 5 million units worldwide. It also won numerous awards and honors, including multiple declarations as sports game of the year. Michael Jordan, gracing the cover of what became the fastest selling title in the history of 2K Sports, was shrewdly locked down for a multi-year deal, but in readying the release of NBA 2K12, the guys in product development knew they’d have to have to do something special to match expectations.

Enter Magic Johnson and Larry Bird, the ’80s greats who will share cover duties with Michael on three distinct covers of the game. Kicks Flow: adidas Originals B-Sides Micropacer

The latest collection from adidas Originals, dubbed B-Sides, keeps the magic and excitement of exclusive partner releases alive with previously unreleased colorways of already acclaimed collaborations. The original adidas Micropacer was revolutionary for its time. Released in 1984 to coincide with the Los Angeles Olympics, the sneaker carried a pedometer that sat above the laces, while the silver leather upper was a first of its kind on a sneaker and turned heads wherever it was rocked. The subtle switching of red and blue detail on the 3-Stripes of the B-Sides release is something true collectors will appreciate. The B-Sides collection will be available at the no6 and no74 concept stores in London and Berlin respectively, and selected adidas Originals stores. Partner stores including Foot Patrol, Undefeated and BAPE will all have their own signature shoes available in limited quantities as well.

Y’all know what it is!!

You can’t have a list of classic albums, and not have Doggystyle on there. I remember when this dropped, and how crazy me and my friends went for this album. I had a friend that copped it first, and he had it on cassette!! We walked around listenin’ to the tape on his walkman outside through the headphones, thirst just to hear what this album was soundin’ like. We were just kids then, but even back then, I knew this album was easily goin’ to be one of the best and pivotal albums of all-time. Not that it needs to be said, but Dr. Dre is a genius!! The production on this was CRAZY!! Sonically, nothin’ around this time was soundin’ how Doggystyle did. By the time I got the CD, I could tell that Dre and the camp over at Death Row were workin’ on another level.

I always loved the vibe that their records had back then, it always sounded like they were havin’ a lot o’ fun when makin’ those albums. This album was no different. My favorite tracks back then were “Pump, Pump”, “For All My N*ggaz & B*tches”, “Serial Killaz”, “G Funk Intro”, “Lodi Dodi”, “Tha Shiznit” and of course, probably my favorite track from Snoop EVER, “Gin & Juice”. This album just sounded classic right out the gate, and it’s one of those timeless joints that you can really listen to at anytime. I assume you own this already, but if you don’t (and that would be kinda weird), you need to cop this classic immediately!!

Fly Season: Gourmet Quadici – Spring/Summer 2012 | Preview

The Spring/Summer 2012 collection from Gourmet looks promising and their duck-boot inspired Quadici will be launching in four styles. A preview of the models reveal that this season, the footwear is influenced by orthodox mountain parkas with two tone breaking up the uppers. However there will be monotone versions available as well in gray and purple palettes which are far more the understated. All models sit atop a clean white midsole accented by the transparent cushion unit. Square waxed cotton shoe laces reiterate the outdoor theme and first delivery is scheduled to ship around February 2012.

While Berlin was host to the epic Bread and Butter trade show last week, there are plenty of premium goods to be had outside the German capital. Check out the recently redesigned Afewstore, formerly Schuh-You, in Düsseldorf-a super clean retail build-out that doubles as an event space. The shop aesthetic transforms at night, with a glow in the dark floor that gives off an eerie green aura. Afew is poised to be one of the leaders in German streetwear given its heritage as Schuh-You, carrying the likes of Nike Sportswear, adidas Originals, Asics, and more. Right now the store is hosting an Air Max 1 exhibition together with Nike Sportswear as well as the MAX100 project by Matt Stevens.
