Kicks Flow: Mark McNairy x Kazuki Kuraishi x adidas Originals - "McNasty" Hook Shot 84-Lab

Collaborations are everything these days! They really are. It’s so cool when you see different brands coming together to make something so awesome, which will have a little piece of everyone involved in contributing. It’s like a hybrid of flyness, and that’s something we will always appreciate and enjoy.

As part of the on-going partnership between adidas Originals and renowned Japanese designer Kazuki Kuraishi, the collaborative “84-Lab” imprint brings in a third high-profile name for its latest collection — namely, one Mark McNairy, the American designer whose sensibility is all over this Hook Shot trainer. Rechristened the “McNasty Lo,” the low-profile sneaker mixes classic style with irreverent touches.

The pair is executed in white leather with purple suede three-stripes and heel tab, along with with a suede toe bumper and off-white vulcanized sole unit. Custom tongue tags and sockliners finish the look. You can definitely find these at choice sneaker outlets and at adidas Originals locations nationwide.

You ever have that pair of kicks that you had as a kid, tore up and wished you took much better care of them? I think we’ve always wished that something we had back then would make a comeback and we’d be able to restock it today, and never touch it again. Some brands actually listen to the prayers that we send out there. And every now and then we see something pop up just at the right time.

30 years ago, the introduction of the Nike Air Pegasus heralded the emergence of French street culture in the early 1980s, with early adopters using the lightweight runner to dismantle entrenched dress codes while announcing their individuality and personal style. Paying tribute to the particular chapter of Gallic pop culture history, Sneakers Addict joins up with Le Rockwood and Nike to launch the “Run to Fly” capsule collection, featuring a special-edition tricolor Nike Air Pegasus+ 30 and corresponding tee. (Each premium t-shirt is adorned with a wooden logo, crafted in south of France at the hands of Le Rockwood artisans.) These dropped a couple days ago, so make sure to head out and cop before they vanish from shelves.

Top Shelf: 2015 BMW M235I

Our love for BMW has never slowed down, and as drivers of this great machine, it’s always cool to see new lines coming out for us to enjoy and take full advantage of. BMW already had plans for unveiling their newest member of the family this weekend, but leaked images that have been circulating around the web seem to have already stole their thunder. The latest addition to the family tree is a 2015 2-Series dubbed the M235i, which is essentially the top-end version of the 2-series coupe. 

The official press shots show a turbocharged 3.0L six-cylinder that produces 322 HP down through its eight-speed automatic transmission. Although it is electronically limited to 155mph, it can reach 62mph in 4.8 seconds. Visually, the 235i is different than its kin in that it has larger air intake, 18-inch M light alloy wheels, and aluminum-capped side mirrors. You can bet that a convertible variant is on its way, too, but – first things first – we’ll have to wait for more official details and release information on this beauty. You should definitely stay tuned, people.

Back at it, and we’ve left the country again for a quick look at another great property. It’s been a good week or so with how diverse the last couple of posts have been, and that’s what we really dig about this section. You’ll always see something very different from the last home posted. And we think today’s post will really suit those who love and appreciate an open plan with plenty of light.

Created as an annex to a house in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, Casa Cor by Pedro Lázaro is a small extension that fits in perfectly with its surroundings. The box-like structure features two large glass walls on either side, allowing for a close relationship with the nature that surrounds it. Curtains provide privacy or they can be opened to bring the outdoors in. 

Timber paneling on the roof and deck and a green and grey color theme further complement this idea. The interior incorporates modern design with large concrete tiles and minimal furniture; however, the warm lighting and surrounding elements keep the atmosphere welcoming and homely.

We mentioned a couple months ago that Kicks Flow was about to get crazy for the last quarter of the year, and we weren’t lying.
