Kicks Flow: Ronnie Fieg x Diadora Intrepid

I don’t know about you, but we’ve been entranced with the Olympics this year. Easily way more than any other time. This has truly been the Summer of Biles and Phelps. And with the games having such a huge presence in not just the media, but also in fashion, it was no surprise to see a few of our favorite streetwear icons get together for a fresh new team-up that’ll surely be making some noise in the world of kicks in a couple of days.

To commemorate the Olympics, Ronnie Fieg has teamed up with Diadora to unarchive the Intrepid silhouette as part of the “From Seoul to Rio” initiative.
Featuring a retro palette inspired by the colors of track clubs of the late ’80s, the collaborative Intrepid sees teal, light orange, washed navy, pale pink and soft grey sit beside one another as a nod to the sneaker’s origin. The upper features rugged pebbled nubuck combined with a lush pigskin suede forefoot.

While branded tongue and heel pulls offer increased accessibility, other details include a color-blocked trail-running outsole, asymmetrical “From Seoul to Rio” footbed branding, two sets of multicolored woven laces, and custom packaging.

With only 500 pairs handcrafted in Italy, the Ronnie Fieg x Diadora Intrepid releases this Saturday, August 20th at KITH stores and KithNYC.com at 11AM EST. They’re gonna run at $180 and will surely go fast. So be sure to get a pair while they last.

Purposefully Fresh
