Andrés Stebelski Arquitecto decided that four courtyards are better than one for this particular Mexico City home. Located in the old area of Tacubaya, the current house was built after tearing down the original structure. In means of implementing these contemporary courtyards to the property, the firm utilized a “chessboard” design, showcasing neighboring indoor rooms with the outdoor courtyards.
On the first floor of the house you will find various public areas from the kitchen to dining room, study and laundry. Upstairs then features three bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The living room takes over both the first and second floors, connecting the levels. In addition to the quartet of courtyards that is showcased throughout the home, the rooftop then boasts a garden as well as a glass cube that regulates the temperature of the house.
