Kicks Flow: Club Monaco x Saucony Fall 2014 Courageous

Groovy..

I can speak from experience when it comes to walking away from the sneaker spot with shoes you definitely didn’t plan on buying. Shoutout to WEST NYC, for being the one spot that somehow gets me to leave with pairs of kicks that weren’t part of the plan. One shoe that I always seem to get from there are Saucony’s. I don’t know what it is, but they always seem to have pretty dope models from them, and it’s tough to walk away without taking them home with me. I think it’s part nostalgic-magic, and part freshness that makes copping a new pair of them so cool to me. So continuing with that notion, we have another awesome pair to tout today.

For their latest collaboration, Club Monaco has partnered with Saucony to reinterpret the 1980s Jazz Low Pro as the Courageous sneaker. Drawing inspiration from the classic runner, Club Monaco’s head of men’s design Aaron Levine collaborated with the footwear brand on exclusive fabrications and colorways, and added a unique speckled rubber sole. The premium sneaker’s upper is constructed from a luxurious tonal suede and features a perforated toe box and vamp for enhanced breathability. Finishing off the quality design is pigskin lining and a white midsole. The limited edition Club Monaco x Saucony Fall 2014 Courageous is available in two colorways of either Neutral or Multi-Black and is now available at Club Monaco for $129 USD.

Fly Season: Pigalle Basketball 2014 “Street Line” Lookbook

Righteous..

Certain types of gear will just never get old. Streetwear comes in all kinds of styles, but the one that never fails to get run, is simple and casual. Being able to just throw some sweats on and chill out, is priceless. That’s what the good life is about. And if you can find a brand that can provide a little dopeness for you to sport, then you’re well on your way.

Taking a closer look at Pigalle Basketball’s latest collection, we focus in on the sub-line’s most accessible pieces in a simple and clean editorial. Featuring the French streetwear brand’s inverted logo, a number of staples appear with varying degrees of visual embellishments as part of the “Street Line” collection. Both fading and tie-dye techniques appear alongside subtle, crisp pieces. The collection is available now at Juice Hong Kong.

Kicks Flow: fragment design x Nike Roshe LD-1000 SP “Dark Navy”

Nike follows up their collaborative Tennis Classic SP, with another design done in cahoots with Hiroshi Fujiwara’s fragment design. This time around, the two combine a number of the athletic giant’s most recognizable silhouettes in order to create an entirely new sneaker.

A textured Cortez-like upper and leather Swoosh lend the Roshe LTD 1000 a sense of luxury, while the tongue features an unfinished effect with a layer of exposed foam. The toe box, meanwhile, bares more than a passing resemblance to both the Nike Cortez and fashion’s celebrated reappropriation of the German army trainer

All of this sits atop a clean, technical version of Nike’s Roshe NM (Natural Motion) sole for what may become a sleeper hit of 2014. Be on the lookout for these to drop on October 23rd at select Nike retailers and Nike.com.
