Kicks Flow: Nike Tennis Classic - Ultra Woven

Performance shoes aren’t always just saved for actual performance in the sneaker world. We wear what looks cool, and definitely what we find to be comfortable. And if the design is unique as well, then we have ourselves a winner. We wanted to show some love today to a new pair that we think hits on every level.

Nike’s pared down, court ready Tennis Classic silhouette arrives for Summer 2016 in an all-new Ultra Woven make up. Mixing woven leather with a textile upper, the sneaker features a cored-out Ultra midsole unit and leather lining, marking a solid upgrade to an enduring icon. Offered in black or grey, you can purchase the shoes now through KITH.

Kicks Flow: Nike Air Tech Challenge IV

The cool thing about sneaker-heads, is their ability to take any kind of sneaker and make it into a fashion statement. If a shoe has been constructed for a specific sport, it doesn’t matter. We’ll make it cool and fresh to style in, whether we intend to play a sport or not. One of the shoes that’s always been classic, is what we called “The Agassi’s” back in the day. Nike’s Air Tech Challenge. When these first came out back then, they immediately became a summertime staple. If you had them, you were cool. And you’d still be cool, if you can manage to pick up a pair today.

Fans of Andre Agassi's signature Nike Air Tech Challenge have something to look forward to this summer: namely, the return of the Air Tech Challenge IV in its original form. That means shoe's leather and nubuck construction, vivid coloring and mid-stop silhouette are all present. Re-live a time when mullets and acid-washed shorts upended the cloistered world of professional tennis, and expect the Nike Air Tech Challenge IV to hit stores in July.

Fly Season: Penfield - Howard Coach Jacket

Layering is everything during those chilly summer nights we have coming up soon. You could go with the classic hoodie combo to stay warm, or maybe even a sweater. But let’s get into light jacket mode today, and talk about a piece that’s pretty awesome, but also practical enough to keep you warm during those nippy nights or even days when you’re out and about.

For Spring/Summer 2016, Penfield launches a new outerwear silhouette, the Howard Coach Jacket, constructed from Nylon Taslon with a DWR coating. The garment features raglan sleeves inspired by classic american styles of the '70s and '80s, as well as an overlaid back vent for increased rain proofing and breathability.

Additional details include a front snap opening, elasticated cuffs and a white para cord hem cinch. A new teepee graphic logo completes the look. Retailing for $125 and available in red, tan, black and navy hues, the Howard Coach Jacket can be purchased through select Penfield retailers and penfield.com.

Kicks Flow: Nike Dunk High Retro QS “Michigan”

This year we saw Nike make a return to the “Be True to Your School” pack, a tradition of honoring universities with their own version of the Dunk High sneaker that started in 1985. Building on the release of last month’s University of Kentucky and St. John’s University sneakers, today marks the release of the Nike Dunk Retro QS in a “Michigan” colorway.

These Retro Dunks do justice to the Michigan Wolverines in a bright colorway comprised of “Varsity Maize” and “Midnight Navy.” The bright maize color takes up most of the upper, while the navy holds sway over the overlays. The whole thing is set nicely atop a clean white midsole, allowing the school colors to truly pop.

The Nike Dunk Retro QS “Michigan” are available to cop now via The Social Status.

Kicks Flow: Nike Roshe LD-1000

If there’s a such thing as “new classic”, The Swoosh has definitely dropped a few in recent years. Nike has returned to remodel one of its most versatile silhouettes, the Roshe LD-1000, using only premium materials and design techniques for a more elegant aesthetic.

Originally intended as a multi-purpose wardrobe staple, ready to be dressed up or down, the new Nike Roshe LD-1000 edges slightly more towards a classier look. The “Premium” will come in three distinct colorways, all bearing the retro “Blue Ribbon Sports” branding in the footbed, a hark back to the Swoosh’s humble beginnings.

The Nike Roshe LD-1000 “Premium” will be available to purchase over at Nike’s GB store today.

Top Shelf: 2017 Porsche 718 Cayman

Weather is changing for the better, so we know everyone is getting ready to get their cars detailed and washed. This is the season to stunt, and we always try our best to showcase a few nice toys that would help you get that done just fine.

Porsche has just taken the covers off of their 2017 718 Boxster sibling: the Porsche 718 Cayman. As with previous years and editions, the model is exactly what you would expect from the coupe variant - a Boxster with a fixed metal roof - but the brand does bring two new turbocharged, four-cylinder engines into the mix to replace the old naturally-aspirated six-banger.

The base version is a 2.0-liter with 300HP while the S model upgrades to a 2.5-liter engine with 350HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. Both models will share an optional Sport Chrono Package, a top track speed of 170 mph, and standard Porsche Communication Management that can be enhanced to include real-time traffic and voice navigation. The 2017 Porsche Cayman begins at $53,900 with delivery beginning in November.

Kicks Flow: Nike Air Presto "Teal"

Righteous..

Last summer, I was one of the fortunate few to get my hands on one of the first Nike Air Presto’s during the launch for the grey and black classic model (thanks to that Nike connect). I’ve only rocked them a few times because they’re just so fresh, I don’t want to run them down too quickly. Sneaker-heads know what to sport and what to stash. And these are definitely in the stash category.

Our good friends at Nike have given the original silhouette a fresh, new makeover. Poised to be another one of the go-to sneakers for spring and summer, the shoe features a mainly teal colorway with a milky white translucent cage.

The mesh neoprene upper makes the kicks noticeably breathable and lightweight, while the midsole provides stability and balance. A black rubber outsole caps off a look that proves, once again, that summer sneakers don’t just have to be all-white. The Nike Air Presto “Teal” is available at select retailers now, including SNKRS.

Get yours..

Kicks Flow: KITH x New Balance MRL696

No stranger to great collaborations, our good friends over at KITH continue to cook up some of the best mash-up collections we've seen in ages. We’d be remiss if we didn’t showcase one of our new favorites from them, as it’s with one of our most-loved brands. KITH and New Balance have come together for a special re-release of last year’s MRL696. The silhouette is based on the 996, as it features a unique deconstructed upper with laser-etched panels.

The “Sand” and “Sage” colorways were released in limited numbers in 2015, but are now back exclusively at KITH, so don’t wait too long to pick these up. Each pair notes premium nubuck upper construction, suede lining and RevLITE technology used for the lightweight midsole. Visit KITH to pick up the New Balance MRL696 “Sand” and “Sage” today.

Kicks Flow: Nike Flyknit Racer “Rainbow”

There have been a handful of sneakers that have dropped over the past couple of years that win no matter what colorway they release in. Both stylish and super comfortable, the Nike Flyknit Racer has been a front-runner (no pun intended), as one of the best shoes to drop in recent memory, that fits the bill. So many of my friends have gone crazy to cop as many pairs of these as possible, and rightfully so. These are easily one of the best models that Nike has hit us with lately, and it’s only getting better.

One of the most popular Nike running sneakers returns for Summer 2016 in a colorway that will guarantee an instant sell-out. The new Nike Flyknit Racer is back, in “Rainbow” this time, adding a multicolor knitted upper to the running shoe. The Nike Flyknit Racer “Rainbow” will be available April 13th in men’s sizing only in the Nike SNKRS app.
