Kicks Flow: Nike x WZK Shanghai's Foamposite Exhibition

If you’ve ever taken the time to really organize your sneaker closet, you know if you have more than just 50 pairs, it starts to look like you have your own little kicks museum at home. Sporting your kicks is obviously the perk of having a nice collection, but having them on display is also one of the cooler parts of being a sneakerhead. So imagine what it would be like to walk into an exhibition of one of Nike’s most iconic and insanely popular shoes right now, the Foamposite. It’s not just something to dream about anymore. It’s a reality.

As part of its 12 Soles campaign, Nike Sportswear has set up an impressive retrospective exhibition in Shanghai that celebrates the Nike Air Foamposite One, the iconic silhouette that will be celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2017. The project, made in collaboration with the local sneaker shop WZK Shanghai, spans the shoe's 20-year history, showcasing classic colorways alongside early samples that date back to 1995, as well as exclusive friends-and-family rarities.

In conjunction with the exhibit, Nike and WZK Shanghai partnered with noted Instagrammer @3dk129 to create a special retrospective Foamposite book. Limited to just 150 copies, the volume and will be given out to shoppers who purchase the "Dr. Doom" Foamposite at the space. It doesn’t get any cooler than that.

Could be because their easily the most comfortable shoes to hang out or walk around all day in. Kicks Flow: Nike Flyknit Racer “Blue Glow”

Couple days out from Christmas, and everyone is talking about resolutions for the New Year. We’re looking forward to the fresh start ourselves, but also to what the new year will bring us by way of kicks releases. Our good friends at Nike are giving the original “Blue Glow” colorway of the Flyknit Racer a fresh update for 2017, five years after it first debuted for the London Olympics.

The shoe was tipped to be big among runners, but perhaps not even the Swoosh could’ve predicted its huge popularity with more fashion-conscious sneakerheads and streetwear kids. “Blue Glow” was one of three colors first released, and now it’s back with a slightly revamped design for 2017.

The shoe’s signature Flyknit woven upper features a deeper, more ocean-like shade of blue on the lateral side than before, while the medial side looks brighter and more yellowy. Black laces, tongue and Swoosh finish off the look.

Nike’s new “Blue Glow” Flyknit Racer is expected to hit European retailers on February 24th, so stay tuned for U.S. release dates. We’ll definitely keep you posted.

And maybe our great friend in the red suit will bless us with what we’ve been asking for all year. Kicks Flow: Nike Flyknit Racer “Bright Mango”

It’s the holiday season, so we’re going with the theme of bringing you our favorite Christmas-like kicks this week. Yesterday, we got festive with an awesome shoe from ASICS. Today, we wanted to take it back to the good old Swoosh. If you're looking at where we’ve been taking things this week, you’ll be happy to hear that the brand is dropping a new red colorway of the popular Flyknit Racer silhouette.

The new red version of the sneaker features a blend of deep red, black, and also lighter hues of the red resulting in a knitted look on the upper. The tongue, sock-liner, outsole and swoosh have been totally draped in black, while the entirety of the look is balanced out by a clean white midsole.

According to our top secret sources, European stockists are planning to release the new colorway on January 27th. We expect a stateside release to happen around this time, as well. So be on the look-out for these.

Kicks Flow: adidas Stan Smith "Wool"

Iconic sneakers are like classic reruns of old TV shows. No matter how long ago they came out, there’s always room for them in your life today. The timelessness of a good shoe is just so awesome. Especially when small changes are made to it, that upgrade it ever so slightly, but keep its original style and flavor intact, as well.

Last month, adidas Originals dropped a winter-ready version of the EQT Support, done up in warm wool with black and off-white accents. The thematic followup has now arrived in stores, featuring the classic Stan Smith silhouette wrapped up in the same grey fuzzy wool fabrication.

In addition to the unexpected material story, the iconic model loses any sort of interior padding, showcasing a deconstructed build that's accented with a textured black leather heel tab and off-white laces and midsole. The kicks are available now through select adidas retailers, including online with our good friends over at sneakerpolitics.com.
