Bikes are probably more popular than ever right now in big cities. Most of us were raised during the BMX era. I know I wasn’t the only kid fiending to get a Mongoose bike for Christmas back in the day. And when you live in a big city, sometimes the best means of transportation are bike or skateboard, if you’re like me.
French luxury brand Hermès has just announced the launch of its first bicycle range. Setting out to create a real bike rather than just for show, the brand worked with French manufacturer Time to realize two simple, efficient and elegant models – Le Flâneur d’Hermès and Le Flâneur sportif d’Hermès.
Both bikes feature lightweight shock-absorbing carbon fiber frames, hydraulic disc brakes, and a choice of 8 or 11 gears. Featuring bull calf leather saddles, handlebar grips, carry handles and luggage rack supports, the luxe bicycles are available in charcoal, red and white. Retailing for approximately $10,750 USD, the bikes will be available from November in Hermès stores worldwide.
