Top Shelf: 2015 BMW M4 Convertible

Serious..

There are Benz people, and there are BMW people. If you’ve hung out here at AA long enough, you know where we stand. Now, that doesn’t mean that we can’t show love to other companies, because we definitely do. But our loyalty is kind of set in stone with BMW. Most of you know that, so I won’t bore you with the particulars.

Petrol heads have been stamping their feet for news on a droptop model of the BMW M4 ever since the automotive giant announced it was retiring the old M3 badge. And now it’s here: the 2015 BMW M4 Convertible, due to get its first physical unveiling at the New York Auto Show later this year. As you would expect, looks-wise it’s the same fluid curves and cat-like front end as the hardtop model, sitting on top of darkened two-spoke rims, slender tires, and taught, low-slung suspension.

Meanwhile, under the bonnet it’s got that knee-quivering 3-liter, 425 bhp twin turbo engine – the only difference being you can now hear every bit of it growl as you sink your foot down. Sales of the vehicle will begin in 2015, and if you can’t make it to the motor show, you’ll have to make do with the pictures here for now.

Get yours..
