Top Shelf: Porsche Unveils the Panamera Turbo S

Porsche ups the performance aspect of its Panamera model with the Turbo S ahead of its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show in a few weeks. The 4.8-liter twin-turbo V8 now produces 570 horsepower and 553 pound-feet of torque. Despite the boost, however, Porsche says the Turbo S maintains the same 3.6-second 0 – 60 time as the previous model, although we’re still not complaining.. Top speed is pushed two miles per hour faster at to 192 mph.

Other features include carbon-ceramic brakes inside the wheels from the 911 Turbo, in addition to the ability to order the Turbo S in long-wheelbase Executive trim. MSRP before delivery and options is quoted at $180,300 for the standard wheelbase and $200,500 for the stretched model. For reference, that’s 2.5 times the price of a base Panamera and makes the Turbo S Executive both the most expensive and most powerful Porsche for sale besides the 918 Spyder.
