Situated in Karlsruhe, Germany, House R by CHRIST.CHRIST. Architects is a four-storey modern residence providing ample light thanks to a wall of triple glazed windows. Playing with different levels throughout, the ground floor houses the entrance as well as a double-height living room with kitchen and dining area, while the first floor includes a more private living area and two children’s rooms with dressing room and bathroom.
A roof terrace is accessible through the attic floor, which acts as the parents room, however the entire floor is setup in a loft design rather than with segregated amenities. Finally the basement houses an indoor swimming pool, which sits one meter above the terrain allowing for a small band of windows bringing in natural light.
