We’re back on the road again, and with one of our favorites. BMW is celebrating the 30th anniversary of the M3 by releasing 500 examples of the "30 Jahre M3" special edition, 150 of which will be available in the U.S. Aside from the exclusive Macao Blue metallic paint job, the Limited Edition comprises is distinguished by a power boost to the tune of 444 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. As part of the Competition Package, an adaptive M suspension has been comprehensively aligned for increased performance, with new springs, dampers and stabilizers, along with 20-inch forged Light Alloy.
With the optional 7-speed M double clutch transmission, the car sprints from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.8 seconds, and 4.0 seconds with manual transmission. Equipped with the dual clutch transmission, the car is priced at $86,150, while the manual-transmission model goes for $83,250. Availability starts this month through select BMW dealers.
