BMW have unveiled the 2015 iteration of their X6 model. The crossover coupe will be available in three models – the confusingly named sDrive35i, xDrive35i and xDrive50i. The sDrive35i and xDrive35i are powered by BMW’s 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six 300 horsepower engine, while the xDrive50i boasts a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 producing 445 horsepower, and all feature an 8-speed automatic transmission. The interior has been given BMW’s usual luxurious fittings and high-tech gizmos, and with the back seats lowered the X6 has up to 53.9 cubic feet of cargo space.
Despite the series’ high price and less than economic fuel consumption, the X6 has sold over 250,000 units worldwide, so expect this model to go down a storm when it enters the market next year.
