Architecture: House X by Elías Rizo Architects and Agraz Architects

House X is situated on a corner-plot in Zapopan, Mexico, which presented a unique and unusual challenge for Elias Rizo Architects. It successfully avoids direct street views by ensuring the main windows and views from the house face the other side, resulting in some amazing architecture that isn’t compromised by any surroundings.
Largely open plan, the house is divided into three areas of similar size which are connected by one central axis, and it can be transformed into one open space with retractable windows that incorporate the patio into the living room, dining room and kitchen.
