Lamborghini has unveiled an update to their Gallardo model with the LP 570-4 Squadra Corse. The Squadra Corse shares key components with the nearly-identical LP 570-4 Super Trofeo single-series race car including the 570-horsepower V10 engine, carbon fiber rear wing and removable engine hood made of the same material.
The rear wing delivers up to three times more downforce than what’s found on the LP 560-4, while the use of weight-saving materials and components allows the Squadra Corse to weigh in at 154 pounds less than the LP 560-4.
Drivers will be going from 0 to 60 in 3.4 seconds and be topping out at a speed of 199 miles per hour. Look for the street-legal race car to premier at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
