Dopeness: Bang & Olufsen Unveils BeoSound Essence

Righteous..

Audiophiles rejoice! Bang & Olufsen has just unveiled the BeoSound Essence, a two-part system which allows you to listen to music in your home as easily and stylishly as possibly. The first part is a disc-like controller which can be wall-mounted and acts like a remote control to your music. Once set up, you simply click once to start music playing.

The sleek device also has the ability to skip through songs and control volume. The other part is a small box that attaches to your stereo and connects to services such as AirPlay, DLNA, Spotify Connect and more. Through the downloadable BeoMusic app you can also set your preferences and create playlists. Afterwards, you can control your music daily simply by the remote.

They’ve also brought out the BeoLab Transmitter 1 and BeoLab Receiver 1 which allows you to convert hard-wired legacy products to be able to play wirelessly through the Essence system. One transmitter can send up to eight receivers and you’ll need one for each legacy channel you want to connect. The Essence will set you back $1,000 USD for the system and an additional $200 USD for each extra remote you might want. The advanced music player is expected to launch in April.

Get yours..
