Top Shelf: 2015 BMW X3 Unveiled

Lovely..

If you’ve been hanging out here at AA long enough, you’ll know that I’m no stranger to the BMW family. I’ve been down for years. I love all cars, but have always put my money on BMW, just can’t drive anything else right now.  So I stay close to them and keep an eye on what they drop and support the brand religiously. It’s almost scary, people.

Inside and out, BMW‘s highly-successful luxury crossover, the X3, has received some very handsome upgrades for 2015. Perhaps the biggest is the new xDrive 28d version of BMW’s 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel four-cylinder engine, which produces 180hp and 280 lb-ft of torque, which transfers power through an eight-speed automatic transmission and carries the car to 60mph in just under 8 seconds. On the exterior, the front headlamps have been extended, the front grilled chromed out, and new brake cooling vents were added.

Inside, the chrome trim continues, contrasting the leather upholstery. BMW has also upgraded the technology with a new Parking Assistant, Active Driving Assistant, Lane Departure, City Collision Mitigation, and Pedestrian Warning. Pricing for the new 2015 begins at $42,825.
