Developed for 1968′s Summer Olympic Games in Mexico City by Bill Bowerman – and ultimately influencing the creation of Bowerman’s own Cortez with the establishment of Nike – the Corsair from Onitsuka Tiger has returned for 2013.
Built atop the rippled sole made famous by the Cortez, the retro edition of the Corsair stays true to OG form with a smooth white leather upper, contrasting red branding, and a hint of blue along the midsole. Limited to just 800 pairs worldwide, this patriotic piece of footwear history is now available in-store and online from Barcelona’s 24 Kilates.
