There’s always this friendly competition here at AA, to see who can find the best properties for the Architecture label. I don’t want to say anything, but I think I’ve come up in the ranks with this one today. Oceanfront homes really can’t be beat. I love properties that have mountainous views as well, even towering condos in more of a metro type of setting. But there’s something about being right there on the water that just wins every time for me.
Situated in the coastal holiday spot Mui Ne, on Vietnam’s south east coast, the Oceanique Villas by firm MM Architects features three individual holiday houses on one plot of land. Two three-bedroom villas and one four-bedroom villa occupy the area, with each house featuring a separate 10×3 meter swimming pool.
Sitting on a plot of land that was raised 1.8 meters to ensure privacy from the beach in front, the clean white lines of the house are opened up with large windows throughout, maximizing on natural light and allowing the indoor and outdoor space to flow freely.
